If each time zone was exactly one hour apart, then we’d have 24 total time zones. But due to a number of 30-minute and 45-minute offsets, plus the International Date Line and other shenanigans, there are actually a total of 38!
My quest, however, only focuses on reaching a total of 24 of them.

Webnotes:
Why did I choose to visit only 24 of the 38 possible? Well, that’s because at least one of the time zones, GMT-12:00, is one that’s nearly impossible to mark off. It’s comprised of two uninhabited islands (both US Territories, both of which are entirely comprised of National Wildlife Refuges in which visitors are simply not allowed), and that’s…it. You could technically sail to the South Pacific and not land anywhere and say you’ve been to the time zone, but that seems like an excessive waste.
