Kim and I spent most of the day today planning out our July roadtrip. It’s our ten year anniversary, so we’re going being quite ambitious, but I think it’s really going to be a great trip. The main attraction is a visit to Glacier National Park, but we’ll also be hitting a long list of other, nearly-as-cool places:
-Battle of Little Bighorn
-Great Basin National Park
-Devil’s Tower
-Craters of the Moon
-Pompey’s Pillar
-Mt Rushmore
-Theodore Roosevelt National Park
-Badlands
-Wind and Jewel Caves
-a bunch of other cool places.
We have several different options for the last week of the trip; we’ll make the decision on the fly depending on how we feel. In all, we’ll likely be hitting a little over 30 destinations (about 25 of those National Park Service sites), between 13-17 different states, and driving anywhere from 5600-6600 miles. And, of course, creating hundreds of lasting memories.
