  1. The TCC list—short for the “Countries and Territories” list maintained by the Travelers Century Club—is a common way of counting country visits for goal-focused travelers. It’s intended to separate territories that are significant removed from the “mainland” by geography or culture. For example, American Samoa is a territory of the United States, but counts a separate objective in this quest due to its distance and substantial cultural differences. ↩︎
